CAMPARI

Campari was invented in 1860 by Gaspare Campari in Novara, Italy.
It was originally coloured with carmine dye, derived from crushed cochineal insects, which gave the drink its distinctive red colour.

CIUMBIA

It is an exclamation in Milanese dialect now very little used, in comparison with the Roman dialect, a sort of me cojoni, to be used in case of surprise and admiration.

TUC’ PINTÀ

All colored.
It is an exclamation in the Borgomanero dialect, the meaning is all colored or all tattooed.

BRUTTI MA BUONI

The “ugly but good ones”, in the Borgomanero dialect brutti ma buj, draw their origin in the distant 1869 from the inventiveness of a pastry shop in Borgomanero (Burbanè in dialect), a village of about 20.000 inhabitants in the province of Novara, Italy, where Luca was born.

Enjoy all of them.

FESTA DELL’UVA

The Festa dell’Uva was born back in 1934 and can certainly be counted among the oldest events dedicated to the vendemmia (grape harvest, vintage).

Thanks to the enthusiasm of this small town, firmly convinced of its potential, it is committed to building a varied and ever-increasing stale to welcome constantly increasing spectators from all over the World.

The goal is to offer you a party far from the standard schemes to welcome grandi e piccini in the best way.

Of great interest are undoubtedly the Palio degli Asini (Donkeys Race), where the city wards compete for the coveted trophy in the evocative setting of the Villa Marazza, and the tapulone in the city courses, where more than a thousand people enjoy the typical dish of Borgomanero in a joyful atmosphere enliveled by music and cabaret shows.

The Sfilata dei Carri (Chariot Parade) is another of the highlights of Festa dell’Uva.
