Composites, especially in plastic, are born from the possibility of associating two different materials according to performance, so much so that often the specific material does not exist before the project, but is built according to the set objectives.

So by reasoning everything becomes possible.

Cellulose acetate (abbreviation CA, also cellulose acetate, formerly acetylcellulose) is a collective name for cellulose acetic acid esters.

Cellulose acetate is one of the oldest thermoplastic materials and, as a derivative of the natural substance cellulose, is considered one of the bio-based plastics, which were previously also called semi-synthetic fibers in their fiber form.

After a chemical process, such as plastic, cellulose acetate is already used to produce films, sheets, printed parts and coatings for various industrial and artistic applications.

It is also used in the production of comb frames, brushes, knife handles and other products.

In ophthalmic optics, cellulose acetate is used for eyeglass frames.

Thanks to its thermoplastic properties, it can be easily adjusted.

Unlike pure cellulose fibers such as cotton, viscose and lyocell, it can be processed by fusion spinning.

It is transparent, fireproof, water and shock resistant, antibacterial and easy to color.

The moisture absorption of cellulose acetate is quite low, around 6%.

The fiber swells little and dries quickly.

The whole is then transformed into a more durable and economical material, compared to different polymers.

Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed.

Looking at life from a different perspective makes you realize that it’s not the deer that is crossing the road, rather it’s the road that is crossing the forest.
